Seasons Greetings! It’s the last #featurefriday before the holidays are in full swing! This week, Jenn of Jenn’s Blah Blah Blog shares her experience being a mom with bladder leaks.
Being a mom is hectic work. But during the holidays, when the kids are out of school and family comes into town, the chaos of the job can be overwhelming. One second you’re running to the mall for a last minute gift and the next your speeding to the airport to pick up relatives. And if you experience incontinence you have the added concern of bladder leaks to worry about.
“Nobody ever told me that having a child causes bladder leakage. One, time I was racing inside to grab my husband cheese to put on the burgers, slipped, fell and well you know. Just when I thought I got away with it, my daughter turns the corner and scream ‘YUCK, mom, just peed on the porch’ and let’s not begin to talk about all the laughing, sneezing, and coughing accidents lol”, says Jenn.
Those embarrassing oops moments caused by stress urinary incontinence (SUI) are unpredictable. Jenn was lucky that her bladder leak happened at home where there was a bathroom and some spare clothes at hand. But bladder leaks can occur anytime, anywhere. The worry of having an accidental leak can be enough to make you change your day-to-day routine, but you don’t need to. Don’t find yourself stuck on a ski lift with a bladder leak this holiday. Be prepared with Finess!
Finess is the first and most clinically tested solution for bladder leakage that has been cleared by the FDA. Finess is not an insert and does not absorb urine like a bulky pad or adult diaper. Rather, Finess blocks leaks before they happen. To use Finess, simply place it over the urethral opening, and the specially formulated hydrogel adhesive gently seals it into place until you remove and replace it at your next bathroom visit. The next time you laugh, lift, or sneeze, Finess will block any liquid from escaping.
Jenn says, “Finess is super-duper lightweight, comfortable, and totally discreet so you can enjoy all the activities you normally would.”
